Je hangt de camera op, koppelt hem aan de app en je bent klaar. Veel modellen werken op batterij, zonne-energie of via wifi, en je kunt ze uitbreiden met een HomeBase 3 voor extra opslag en slimme functies.
Of je nu je oprit, tuin, schuur of achterdeur in de gaten wilt houden: hieronder ontdek je welke soorten Eufy buitencamera’s er zijn, wat de verschillen zijn en welke keuze het beste past bij jouw situatie.
Wat maakt een Eufy buitencamera zo populair?
Eufy is vooral geliefd omdat het gebruiksvriendelijk is en omdat je vaak geen abonnement nodig hebt om je beelden terug te kijken. Daarnaast zijn de camera’s slim genoeg om nuttige meldingen te sturen, zodat je niet bij elk ritselend blaadje op je telefoon hoeft te kijken.

Dat klinkt misschien technisch, maar in de praktijk is het gewoon: kies wat past bij jouw plek buiten.
Soorten Eufy buitencamera’s
In deze categorie zie je grofweg drie “routes”: wifi & solar, 4G, en bedraad/PoE. Elk met z’n eigen voordelen.
1) WiFi buitencamera’s met zonnepaneel: weinig onderhoud
Een mooi voorbeeld is de Eufy SoloCam S340 WiFi camera met PTZ en Dual Lens + Solar.
PTZ betekent dat de camera kan draaien (pan) en kantelen (tilt). Dual Lens betekent dat je vaak zowel overzicht als extra detail hebt. En met solar hoef je niet steeds te denken aan opladen.
Ook zie je in deze categorie de SoloCam S220 Solar (2K) en de SoloCam E30 (PT) met zonnepaneel (ook als 2-cam kit). Dit soort camera’s is ideaal als je snel wilt starten en weinig gedoe wilt.
Handig voor: oprit, achtertuin, schutting, schuurdeur.
2) Eufy 4G buitencamera’s: voor plekken zonder wifi
Heb je geen stabiele wifi bij de poort, stal, loods of vakantiewoning? Dan is de Eufy 4G LTE S330 Buitencamera interessant. Die kan werken via 4G, en schakelt (bij dit type) vaak slim tussen 4G en wifi als dat beschikbaar is. In de producttekst zie je ook dat hij gericht is op “off-the-grid” gebruik met zonnepaneel en een grote batterij.
Handig voor: buitengebieden, bouwplaats, erf, plekken waar wifi het niet haalt.
3) Bedrade/PoE buitencamera’s: stabiel en “altijd aan”
Wil je maximale stabiliteit en 24/7 opnemen zonder afhankelijk te zijn van wifi of batterij? Dan kom je uit bij PoE camerasystemen (Power over Ethernet). In deze categorie staan ook PoE add-on camera’s zoals:

Let op: bij dit soort PoE add-ons staat er duidelijk bij dat het uitbreidingen zijn voor een PoE systeem (en niet voor HomeBase). Dit is dus vooral interessant als je al een Eufy PoE recorder-systeem hebt of die route overweegt.
Handig voor: bedrijfspanden, magazijnen, locaties waar je “gewoon altijd” beeld wilt.
HomeBase 3: wanneer heb je die nodig?
Sommige Eufy buitencamera’s werken standalone (los, via wifi). Andere werken juist het best in combinatie met de HomeBase 3, die fungeert als het centrale punt voor opslag en slimme functies.
In deze categorie kom je bijvoorbeeld add-on camera’s tegen waarbij er expliciet bij staat: HomeBase 3 vereist (zoals de Eufycam E330 Add-On camera bedraad of bepaalde Eufycam-uitbreidingen).
Praktisch gezien betekent dat:

Heb je al een HomeBase 3? Dan kun je eenvoudig uitbreiden.

Heb je nog geen HomeBase? Kies dan een model dat standalone werkt, of ga meteen voor een set met HomeBase (afhankelijk van je plannen).
Eufy camera met lamp
Soms wil je meer dan alleen filmen. Dan is een camera met verlichting ideaal. In deze categorie vind je bijvoorbeeld:

Dit is vooral fijn bij een donkere oprit of achterpad. Licht schrikt af, en jij ziet meteen kleur en detail.

Denk aan een achterom waar mensen ‘s avonds langs lopen. Met een floodlight cam springt het licht aan bij beweging en heb je direct duidelijke beelden. Dat voelt simpelweg een stuk veiliger.
